When you want to place an image into Indesign you first go to file > place in the dialog box look for image to place. Once you have found it click open. It loads into your place courser. Simply click and it will build a frame into it if you don’t
want to do that you can click and drag an area. Notice this is proportional to
your image or you can place into an image frame that is already created. You
can also drag and drop from your finer folder. There are many ways to place an
image into InDesign. Adobe strongly urges you to copy and past an image into
Indesign always do you best to file place an image.
